I thought my heart had felt the last of you
Referencing the past I had long ago decided to let go of you
But there is a vision that ceases to escape me
A dream that I wish to have every night
An answer to all that I ever wished could be
It is with a delicate mixture of hope and regret that I think of you
A sculptured vision of the perfect love
A dance before slowly dying
A tainted wish that lives inside of me
The death of the endless ache
You are the identity of the missing pieces of me
Soaked by the lingering distaste of love
I only wish to make you remember how sweet it can be
A glass of wine before sleeping
A single raindrop before the storm
I can only watch now
Too far away to make a difference
Too close to ending it all to attempt to begin
My untouchable love
My unrealized vision
With the confidence you’ve given me I wish to give back to you
A promise of forever
A contract written from a heart that can barely hold a pen
My life
Tangled up in all of it’s romantic vines
You are to me the complexity of what should be
The path to you is one I’m so sorry I left
Your mind was created for me
And I’m so sorry that all I can give you is this
The words that define what will never exist
